Snow leopards are smaller than the other big cat but it's equally cute, exhibit a range of sizes, generally weighing between 27 and 54 kilograms. Body length ranges from 75 to 130 centimeters with a tail of nearly the same length. Snow leopards have got thick fur, the base colour of which varies from smoky grey to yellowish tan, with whitish underparts. They have dark grey to black open rosettes on their body with small spots of the same colour on their heads and larger spots on their legs and tail.
Day 01 : Delhi to Leh
Take an hour spectacular flight to Leh over the Trans-Himalayas and Zanskar ranges into Leh. The airport is at 11500 ft above sea Level. You will be transfer to hotel. Rest of the morning at leisure for acclimatization, Afternoon stroll around Leh market and back to hotel for overnight stay.
Overnight stay at hotel (B, L, D) Day 02 : Visit Spitok and Sankar monasteries.
Today we will visit Spitok Monastery; oldest part was founded in the 15th CE. The Monastery is belongs to Yellow hat School of Tibetan Buddhism. There are about 30 monks reside in the monastery. You could visit several temples, which dedicated to different Deities. Most famous ones are Crown Buddha and 21 Taras which was brought from Tibet. On the way you could stop at Hall of fame, a small Museum to display arms and picture of Indian war history. Back to Hotel for Lunch, Afternoon a gradual hike to the Shanti stupa on hill lock located in Changspa built by Japanese in 1984. You can get a good orientation and ideal for picturing the Leh valley and the Ladakh range. Back to the for overnight stay, All inclusive.
Overnight stay at hotel (B, L, D) Day 03 : Shey, Thiksey and Hemis Monasteries.
After breakfast drive to visit the Ladakh most famous monasteries. (Shey-Thiksey-Hemis) Shey used to be the capital of Ladakh until 16th century. Visit the most Popular 12 mtrs high Copper gilded statue of Buddha built in 1640. Continue to Thiksey monastery belongs to yellow hat school of Tibetan Buddhism. It is the largest Monastery in Ladakh, about 90 monks live here. The Morning Prayer held with sun rise by all monks is a peaceful and soothing atmosphere never to be missed. From Thiksey drive to Hemis monastery, located at the southern bank of Indus River. Hemis is the Largest and most famous monastery of Ladakh, There are many interesting statues and painting to see inside the chapel and the newly open museum has the thousand year old collection of frescos and statues. Later drive back to Noble house for overnight stay.
Overnight stay at hotel (B, L, D) Day 04 : Drive to Zingchen and Trek to Husing.
Today post breakfast drive to Zingchen about an hour drive along the Indus river to Zingchen then Trek to Husing for about 2 hrs. Set up the camp at an altitude of 13000ft. This will be your base for next 4 days while searching for Snow leopard. Husing is the home for rare endanger Snow leopard, Beside Snow leopard one could get to see Blue sheeps and Ladakh urial, both are wild sheep very similar to marco polo sheep. Which are the main pray of snowleopard. Beside wild sheep good chances to spot Golden Eagle, Lammergeyer, Snow cock, Partridges and finches. Husing is located between Rumbak and Zingchen villages in the Hemis high altitude national park, National park covers an area of 3200 sq kms. Your camp will be set up in a narrow gorge on the bank of Rumbak stream.
Overnight stay at Camp (B, L, D) Day 05 : to Day 07 : In search of snow leopards:
Explore Husing and surrounding valley in search of snow leopard. February till March is the rutting season and best time to spot Snow Leopard. These whole valley known as the home for snow-Leopard for it rocky mountain formation and gorged terrain
Overnight stay at camp (B, L, D) Day 06 : Trek to Kargiah (4150m) (approximately 6 hour journey)
Early this morning you will cross over the Shingo River and walk along grassy meadows. Camp in Kargiah.
Overnight stay at camp (B, L, D) Day 07 : Trek to prune (3660m) approximately 7 hour journey.
You finally meet the main Zanskar valley and pass through the villages of Tabla and Testa before a steep descent takes us to a further bridge that you cross to your campsite at Purne. There are a couple of shops in Purne selling soft drinks, chocolate and a few other items.
Overnight stay at camp (B, L, D) Day 08 : In search of Snow leopards
You will explore Rumbak and Yurutse villages and back to camp for overnight stay
Overnight stay at camp (B, L, D) Day 09 : Trek back to Leh via Zingchen.
Overnight stay at camp (B, L, D)
Day 10 : Day at leisure for own activities.

Early morning transfer to airport to fly back to Delhi, You will meet our representative and check in to hotel, post lunch sightseeing of some important monuments in Delhi, evening transfer to international airport. optional tour can be arrange to visit Agra for a overnight stay on arrival from Leh and straight drive to Agra and next day visit the Akbar town, Fatehpur Sikri and Taj Mahal and drive back to Delhi ,transfer to International airport for flight back home.
